The Kenyan National Police is circulating false information on the presence of the Multinational Mission for Security Support in Haiti via its X account. "The institution informs that Kenyan police officers continue to record successes on Haitian soil." False allegations, notes the Radio Télé Vitamine team present on the ground.
"The Multinational Mission for Security Support (MSS) team, composed of officers from the National Police and the Haitian National Police (PNH), has continued to record successes in its fight against gang activities and the restoration of security in Haiti," wrote the Kenyan police on its X account.
The Haitian population is at bay, faced with the increase in criminal acts in the Haitian capital, particularly on the national road number 2 where traffic is completely paralyzed.
In Gressier, armed bandits are fighting for territory and chasing peaceful citizens, they burn and destroy the premises of the police station in the area in the presence of Kenyan police officers. It has been almost a week since the gangs have completely paralyzed traffic in this commune, a point connecting several departments.
Another statement from the Kenyan police
"The MSS team has retaken the port of the National Port Authority (APN) from the gangs. As part of the team's efforts to ensure the security of critical infrastructure sites and transit points, the MSS has made significant progress in patrolling and unblocking roadblocks that had been erected along the road leading to the town of Ganthier, ravaged by gangs," claims the Kenyan police.
The presence of Kenyan police officers is noticed in the streets occasionally, well before the arrival of the Kenyan police officers the armed bandits have abandoned the port of the National Port Authority (APN).
The false allegations of the Kenyan national police could plunge the Haitian population much more into uncertainty of seeing a restoration of security.
